''Roberta Smith, the critic of "New York Times" said that I'd be hurt and angry of  the society and of myself. Children are big fans of my work. They understand my art, because they recognize the truth in it. Kids love Star Wars - but the series is not happy, it deals with dark stories. Children see their parents how they fight with each other and how they hug again. This is reality, our world is a complicated place. Therefore, my faces don't really laugh. The smile of my characters is only a muscle that moves.'' — Takashi Murakami
